Description

"Pacific Blues" powerfully engages the viewer with the shapes and shades of ocean waves and sail boats all against the backdrop of a cerulean blue sea and sky. This remarkable photograph of acetaminophen crystals was taken through a microscope after growing the crystals on a glass microscope slide by evaporation. The crystal facets create the colors naturally by refraction of light as it passes through the prism-like crystal array.
