FAQs-About the Prints
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: How long will it take to receive my artwork?
A: Typical turn around time is 2-3 weeks including shipping.
Q: How do you ship?
A: FedEx, UPS and USPS are all possible carriers. If you have any special shipping instructions (signature required, etc) please contact us with instructions when you place your order. The artwork is insured from damage during shipping. If the artwork arrives damaged, please document and contact us immediately and we will make arrangements with you for a replacement piece to be sent. Plese contact us about international shipments.
Q: Do you offer exchanges or refunds?
A: Unfortunately, no refunds or exchanges of artwork are allowed.
Q: How do I hang my metal print?
A: Metal prints come with a hanging bracket on the back. A cleat (supplied) or common picture hooks are then placed on the wall at the desired location and the artwork is easily installed. Metal prints are quite lightweight, but need to be handled carefully while unpacking and installing. The hanging system is not visible from the front or sides after installation with the artwork "floating" about 0.75 inches away from the wall.
Q: How do I clean my metal prints?
A: Metal prints are quite easy to clean. We use an ammonia-free glass cleaner (Sprayway works well) and a soft microfiber cleaning rag. The metal prints are resistant to scratching and completely waterproof so can be hung in damp locations. They can be installed in outdoor locations if not exposed to direct sunlight.
Q: How do I hang my paper prints?
A: Paper prints arrive rolled and can be easily flattened prior to framing. I do not offer framing services, as mat color and frame style are such personal preferences. I personally choose double matting or the use of a fillet. This accentuates the depth and color of the images. Museum glass (best) or UV conservation clear glass will protect the images from UV light damage.
Q: Are the images available in different sizes than those listed in the store?
A: Yes, custom sizes are available. These are in addition to those listed in the store. The aspect ratio (the ratio of the width to the height) will be maintained so there is no cropping or distortion of the image. There is no additional charge for this service. Please contact us for custom sizing and pricing information.
Q: How large a print can you make?
A: Metal and paper prints are possible up to 4 ft x 8 ft. However, since the W:H ratio needs to be maintained, an image might reach the maximum width before it reached the maximum length.
Q: Do you print on anything other than museum paper or metal?
A: Not presently. The two media selected were done so for reasons of image quality and image stability.
